My commitment to you: If elected, I will work extremely hard to ensure that each district student has an equal opportunity to seek a quality education to the best of his or her ability.

I honed the skills and talents necessary to perform the duties of this office: twenty-four year USAF retiree, North Highlands Parks and Recreational District Board member, Contractor State License Board Governor appointee, and State Department of Education Legal Compliance Review/Appeals Committees (textbook selection) and Content Review Panel (textbook review).

Education: Bachelor of Arts degree and California School Boards Association Masters in Governance certification.

Grant Joint Union High School District: 1999 Board president

Rio Linda Union School District: Member, District Advisory Council, bond oversight and textbook adoption committees, and Holmes school site council president.

Community: Former president, local Air Force Sergeants Association chapter, North Highlands Visions Task Force and District 1 Neighborhood Accountability Board and current member, McClelland Park Restoration Advisory Board (toxic cleanup).

Worship: Faith Baptist Church, North Highlands

Memberships: Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Tuskegee Airmen, NAACP, VFW (Post 4647), Optimist Club and Antelope-Highlands and North Sacramento Chambers of Commerce.

Awards: Local public broadcasting station, KVIE, 1999 volunteer of the year and Antelope-Highlands Camber of Commerce 2001 businessman of the year.
