     Representative democracy means that those elected represent not only those who vote for them, but all citizens, voters or not. Legislators today believe only one way is right and vote consistently along party lines. This is not good government. It leads to the majority Party playing offense and the minority Party playing defense and meanwhile, important issues that matter to real people remain unaddressed.
