Highlands High School and Don Julio Junior High School are no more. They have been replaced with one integrated curriculum high school named Highlands Academy of Arts and Design.

Accoding to information received, its purpose is to “achieves excellence by providing a nurturing community to stimulate motivation and creativity in an environment that builds integrity, independence, and productive citizens.”
